At Butterfly Nursery School we understand how important the decision of choosing a nursery for your child is, so you can be assured of a warm welcome by our dedicated and experienced team. We provide a safe, stimulating environment in which your child can have the opportunity to develop their individual personalities, gain confidence with their own abilities whilst socialising and having fun. We know that sometimes you can't always plan in when you might need our service so if parents require ad hoc sessions or need sessions on a rota basis we can accommodate this
We are Ofsted registered and inspected, delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We also work closely with local authority Early Years Services, local schools and National Day Nursery Association (NDNA) to ensure we keep up to date and provide the best care possible for your child.

Just a little thank you for all the tantrums and tears you have gone through to reach the stage our daughter has got to, enjoying school. You really are a fantastic team and we will miss you.
Thank you so much for all your help. You and your amazing nursery really have restored our faith in 'day care'. The extra attention you have given to help settle are truly appreciated and will not be forgotten. We will miss your beautiful nursery and it will be hard to find anything that compares. We look forward to visiting.
What can we say, it's end of an era for our family, you have been so great for our son and absolutely wonderful with our youngest, you have really helped him come along with his development and all the help you have given us. I know we will keep in touch hat's a given, but thank you for helping our baby be ready for school.
Thank you so much for a fabulous few years, a few years which so much has changed for us personally but always you and the nursery has been a constant. Our son said to us on the way home today 'nursery is such a pretty place, no one fights and everyone is happy' I don't think a mum could wish her child to have a better memory of their nursery experience. I shall always look back at the boys nursery time so fondly so thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart.
The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) which sets the standard for learning, development and care.

Our caterpillar room is a spacious room catering for a maximum of 8 9 months to 2 year olds with a one to three ratio of staff where toddlers can enjoy and learn, exploring a range of materials and textures. As this is the first introduction to nursery life for your child, we believe it is important to base our daily routine around your child's individual needs and routines you may have put into place before attending a nursery. A care plan will be discussed upon signing up to the nursery.
Daily record sheets are handed out at the end of each session informing you about rest/ sleep, food, nappy changes and keep you informed of your child's development whilst exploring the environment. We have a sleep area within the room, offering rest/sleep at times to suit your child's needs and routine.
